Hi all,
Just reporting that the Guouogang walk on 5-6 July went ahead and was successful, albeit having taken a little longer than was perhaps hoped for. We finished Sun evening at 8pm, after 2.5 hours in the dark up Breakfast and Carlon's Creeks - so a bit of night training thrown in! Carlon's Farm down to Breakfast Creek, up Black Horse Ridge, Yellow Dog, Konangaroo, then up towards Guouogang, camped on Bullogowar, Guouogang in the morning, Krungle Bungle Range until the saddle just before Scrubber's Hump which was a v steep way down to the Cox's (via a nice nettle gully), then Breakfast Creek back to Carlon's.
Sore in places, including many hot spots on the feet and a sore right knee (prob made worse by the 'skiing' down from the Krungle Bungle to the Cox's). Was a good little test, great fun!
